POP3it Plug-in

POP3it allows you to download email from any POP3 email server directly into a FileMaker database. Because POP3it is a plug-in, you do not need any other application in order to receive email. Everything can be done within the FileMaker environment.

MaJic customers love this plug-in! Using FileMaker to access your email through POP3it can be an extremely powerful function. You can check what email is on your server and decide how to respond appropriately. For example, if you have a shared email account, you can choose to only download messages that are for you. Likewise, you can filter your account and only receive certain types of messages in FileMaker, and use your normal email client to download the rest of your email as you normally would.

Because POP3it allows you to specify in your scripts what email host and email account to check, you can easily check multiple accounts. Together with SMTPit, you can make an entire email solution with only FileMaker and make use of FileMaker's database features like sorting and searching.

Another great use of POP3it it to parse messages you receive from email forms on the web. Using FileMaker's own built in parsing functions make such a solution a snap.
